Forward Deployed Analyst (CRE)

Apply

Partner with institutional clients to implement Stag’s underwriting automation. You’ll bring deep real estate expertise to guide workflows, validate outputs, and shape how AI accelerates deal teams.

Responsibilities

Understand customer workflows end-to-end and scope how to speed them up with Stag
Work hands-on with customers to integrate Stag into live underwriting processes
Own comp set curation; perform T-12/OM ingestion QA; normalize rent rolls; review exit-cap sensitivities
Collaborate with product and engineering to refine AI outputs and UX based on domain feedback

Requirements

Significant CRE industry experience (acquisitions, asset management, or underwriting)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Interest in technology, automation, and improving underwriting efficiency

Engineering

Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Work directly with customers to deploy Stag’s technology into their underwriting workflows. You'll prototype integrations, optimize data flows, and ensure our software drives real outcomes on live deals.

Responsibilities

Lead technical implementations for key customer accounts and go-lives
Prototype and deploy product integrations; shape the roadmap with field insights
Own success metrics such as time-to-first-value, deployment speed, and reduction in manual hours

Requirements

Strong software engineering fundamentals plus AI engineering instincts
Fluency with FastAPI, Next.js, and modern cloud (Azure + AWS) practices
Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfort working in fast-paced, customer-facing environments

Engineering

Founding Engineer

Hybrid (San Francisco)• Full-time

Join the early team shaping the core architecture, product surface, and culture of Stag. You’ll work across the stack from AI model integration to UX polish, shipping the systems that redefine underwriting.

Responsibilities

Design and build core product features across backend and frontend
Integrate and productionize AI models into customer-facing workflows
Contribute to early technical decisions, architecture, and hiring
Design for multi-cloud (Azure + AWS) and contribute to SOC2/ISO-27001 readiness

Requirements

Strong experience across TypeScript/Next.js and Python/FastAPI
Hands-on fluency with Azure and AWS; comfortable with modern CI/CD and general deployment
Comfort working in ambiguity and taking ownership end-to-end
Bias toward shipping fast with attention to design and reliability
You’re cracked, an exceptional builder who raises the bar for speed and quality

Engineering

Software Engineer Intern

Hybrid (San Francisco)• Internship

Help build features, tooling, and experiments powering the future of AI in real estate. You'll work directly with the founders, shipping projects that reach customers.

Responsibilities

Develop and test new product features and internal tools
Collaborate with engineers and designers on fast-paced projects
Ship something meaningful weekly with close mentorship, hands-on, very involved, fast learning experience

Requirements

Strong foundation in programming (Python and TypeScript)
Interest in AI, product development, or real estate tech
Excited to learn quickly and contribute in an early-stage startup
Exposure to FastAPI and Next.js is a plus; same core stack as Founding Engineer, minus deployment focus
